The Marlins is a Kansas City-area youth baseball league for boys, ages 8 to 10. In the past, the families communicated about schedules, events and volunteer opportunities via email, but found that messages were often lost or overlooked. Recently, the players’ moms created a team Jump making it easy for everyone to connect easily and efficiently.
"EVERYTHING MY TEAM NEEDS TO KNOW IS ON THE JUMP. NOW, I CAN SPEND TIME FOCUSING ON COACHING, INSTEAD OF FIELDING QUESTIONS."
Coach brandon runs the show on the field, but it's the players' moms that are doing the heavy lifting off the diamond. They use The Jump to share announcements, post volunteer requests and distribute schedules.
The Marlin Moms have a private team Jump that players and parents can opt into. This ensures that updates aren't caught in a spam folder or lost in a text thread.
With an always-changing roster, players find a fresh Jump, specifically for each season. There, everyone can put a name with a face, see the latest schedule and find contact information for the coaching staff.
When practice plans change at the last minute, it only takes a second to get the word out. Within the feed, the Marlin Moms share equipment needs, signup opportunities and upcoming events.
