Groups make connecting simple
You can be a part of as many or as few as you like. They’re designed to bring people together around a common interest or activity. Each Group serves as a digital living room, where it’s easy to chat, ask questions and share updates with other members. There, you’ll find your group’s files, photos, events, sign-up lists and so much more, all neatly organized.
Everything and everyone in one place
Each Group is packed with helpful resources that make it easy for groups to bond, privately, all on one app. Now, your group members don’t have to dig through emails, texts, SignUpGenius, Facebook and more to stay up to date. On The Jump, they can sign up for volunteer activities, share videos from the last event, collaborate on check lists and collect RSVPs for the next event.
Three levels of privacy
When you create a Group, you get to decide who can join your group, see your posts and even decide whether your group will show up in search results.
Public Groups appear in search results and don’t require Host approval to join.
Private Groups also appear in search results, but members can’t join without Host approval.
Hidden Groups require Host approval and can only be accessed by invitation. They do not appear in search results.
Shared photo and video gallery
Photos and videos are a quick, easy way to engage your group. Add a fun video, single photo or a collection of images from a recent activity—they’ll all be neatly stored under the Photos tab. Members can comment and add fun reactions, too.
Host events, parties and meetings
Create and plan events within your Group. It only takes a second to add a new one and you’ll have the option to track RSVP responses, too. With the Event resource, you can also schedule reoccurring events, add key notes and location information. Once posted, members will find an “Add to Calendar” option that easily ports all related details to their personal calendar.
Resources for everything you need
We’re always looking for opportunities to make group life easier and that starts with building more than 17 helpful Resources, right into our app. In addition to Groups, the app features a dedicated Talk section for one-on-one messaging and group chats. There, you’ll find all the group tools we pack into a Group, in a more impromptu setting. (Don’t worry, we’ll still keep things organized, just tap on your Talk message details to see Resources neatly filed away.)
Share a poll
Where does the group want to hold the year-end banquet? What should the new team shirts look like? Post a Poll and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. It’s a great way to boost interaction and reduce indecisiveness.
Delegate tasks
Missing forms from a member or need folks to pitch in on a community goal? Use The Jump’s Task resource to assign a specific to-do item to select or all group members. Once a participant has completed the item, they can easily mark it on the app. Use it to reduce group confusion and encourage accountability.
Create a signup
Things work better when everyone pitches in. Now, you don’t have to send the group to another app to track signup opportunities. Customize one for just about anything—potlucks, volunteer shifts, meal trains, fundraisers and more. Save time while rallying the troops.
Your personal profile
Even if you’re a group leader, on The Jump, you’re still a real person and we want to showcase that. Post a personal profile photo, pick out a fun wallpaper and take a second to add a line or two to tell folks about yourself.
Organization profile
Leading a big group? After you create a personal profile, you’ll be able to add an organization profile, where you can add other administrators to help you manage the account. Users that are admins can help manage invitation requests, add official posts on behalf of the organization and create official organization Groups.
Add fun reactions!
When someone shares a picture or post in your Group, reactions are a quick way to respond, whether it’s adding a thumbs up to show that you’ve seen their note or something more personality filled. We’re always adding fresh, seasonal ones, too, so be sure to use them before they’re gone!
