Overview

Anytime you’re mentioned in a post, invited to a Group, receive a Friend request or just have new activity from within a Group you’re following, you’ll find it within the Notification feed separated by Requests and Notifications and in chronological order. It’s accessed by tapping the Bell icon on the bottom of your device.

Requests

If you have any Group invites, Jump invites, or Friend requests they will display at the top of your Notification feed.

Clearing Requests

You can clear out your Requests tab by responding to each request. Choose to join or decline a Group request, view or ignore a Jump invite, and accept or decline a Friend request. Members will not be notified if you choose to decline or ignore their request.

Notifications

This will contain any new activity, relating to you, that is happening on the app. New unread notifications will appear blue.

Marking notifications as read

Within your Notification feed, tap the Settings Cog, in the top-right corner, select and confirm to Mark All As Read. This will remove any blue highlights that appear on unseen messages.

Notification settings: Groups

Once inside the Notification Settings section that is accessed by tapping the Settings Cog, in the top-right corner, tap Group Notifications to give you the option to customize your Group Notification settings. Tap on a Group from your list and you can then select your preference to either receive push notifications for all activity within that Group, turn off all push notifications, or to only receive push notifications from the Groups hosts and/or your friends. You can make changes to your notification preferences as often as you would like.

Notification settings: Members

A member is someone in a Group that you are part of, but may not necessarily be your Friend within the app. You can adjust what you see from members by tapping the three dots to the far right of a notification from a specific member. Select Restrict Notifications From This Person and turn off Show Personal Posts and/or Show Group Posts by tapping the corresponding blue toggle switch to grey. You can even customize which Groups you receive their notifications from and which ones you do not. You can also access these options directly from the three dots on the far right of a member’s post within your feed on your Home page.

Any member that you have previously altered notifications on can be displayed inside the Notification Settings section that is accessed by tapping the Settings Cog, in the top-right corner of the Notification page. Tap Modified Members and you have the option to revise any previously changed notifications.

Accessing joined Groups through notifications

Tap on any notification for the Group you want to access, next select the View Group option in the top-right corner to display the full Group feed.

Accessing Groups through request notifications

Any Group requests can be found in the top portion of your notification screen under Requests. You can choose to Join, Dismiss, or tap the name of the Group to bring you to the Group page where you can view any About information that may have been posted by the host to describe the Group.
